The price we charge for the animal is $6.00/lb hanging weight for a half hog. Processing fees start around 64¢/lb hanging weight, depending on the types of cuts selected. The average hanging weight for our half hog is around 100-120 pounds. (Hanging weight is figured after the initial butchering process.)
Processing and Pick Up
After receiving the hanging weight of your hog from the butcher, we will send you an invoice for the remaining balance. Once your hog has been paid for and processing is complete (about 2-3 weeks after the processing date), you will receive notification from Farmers Helper when your pork is ready to be picked up. When you pick up your pork, the processing payment to the facility will be due. We are proud to be working with Farmers Helper for our pork processing, located in Harrisburg, Oregon.

Studies have determined that pigs fattened on nuts produce meat with a higher percentage of healthy fats like scarce amino acids and unsaturated fats. The hazelnuts also increase flavor in both the fat and meat while producing the necessary intramuscular and subcutaneous (under the skin) fat cover necessary for optimal flavor and texture.
